Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)/ Electronic Product Code (EPC)
GMA supports the use of RFID and believes in the benefits of RFID for businesses and consumers, while working to ensure that there is sufficient return on the industry’s investment. GMA endorses privacy guidelines designed for use by companies engaged in the large-scale deployment of Electronic Product Code (EPC) and RFID that will help ensure consumers’ privacy rights are protected as EPC and RFID are implemented over the next several years.
